Job description

We are seeking a full-time Physician (Hospitalist) in the New Haven Area. The Hospitalists will provide comprehensive medical care in internal medicine to adult inpatients through admissions, cross coverage and discharge; contact patients Primary Care physician about in-hospital / follow-up care; provide Primary Care physician hospital diagnosis; and new prescriptions / treatment. • Hospital system with an established hospitalist program and academic affiliation • Hospitalist with an internal medicine residency program at the hospital • Monday through Friday daytime schedule and some weekends (if needed) • 4 - 5 hospitalists plus the chief hospitalist are on during the day shift • Closed ICU – no procedures • 7 on 7 off Schedule • Supervise, teach, and evaluate medical house staff and other trainees daily

Requirements

MD 3 years experience as a Hospitalist
