Family Medicine Physician
FQHC · Pennsylvania · full-time
Job description
If you became a doctor because you wanted to actually know your patients, this is worth a look. We're looking for a Family Medicine Physician to join a mission driven community health center serving the Harrisburg area of Pennsylvania. This is full spectrum outpatient primary care, treating patients from childhood through their senior years, with the kind of continuity that lets you build real relationships instead of rushing through fifteen-minute visits. Behavioral health, social services, and care coordination are built right into the model, so when a patient needs more than medicine, you have a team to lean on. It's the kind of setup that lets you actually practice the way you were trained to: focused on the whole person, not just the chart in front of you. You'll be caring for underserved communities who genuinely need what you offer, backed by a team that believes access to good care shouldn't depend on someone's income or insurance status. If you're looking for a place where the work still feels like the reason you went into medicine in the first place, this is it. Competitive base salary, plus: Up to $4,500 annually for CME, with 5 dedicated CME days Eligibility for student loan repayment through NHSC and state programs Paid medical license and malpractice coverage Generous PTO, a birthday holiday, and 7 paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company paid life insurance Retirement plan with employer match Employee Assistance Program Discounted gym membership
Requirements
What we're looking for: An MD or DO from an accredited institution, board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, and an active Pennsylvania medical license (or the ability to get one). Strong communicators who are comfortable with EMR systems will do well here. Experience in a community health setting is a plus, and if you speak Spanish, Nepali, French, or Arabic, we'd love to hear from you. Prior leadership experience is welcomed but not required.
