Chief of Nuclear Medicine Division
Academic Center/Hospital · New York City · full-time
Job description
A platform built for impact This is not a management role — it is a mandate to build. You will shape the clinical, research, and educational identity of a division that spans PET-CT, SPECT-CT, nuclear cardiology, and a rapidly growing theranostics program. With four clinical sites, a dedicated small animal imaging facility, and deep ties to a comprehensive cancer center, transplant center, and children's hospital, the infrastructure is already here. What it needs is a leader with the vision to take it further. Clinical excellence Lead advanced imaging across SPECT, SPECT-CT, PET-CT, and theranostics. Serve as Authorized User, advising on novel radiopharmaceuticals and therapeutic agents. Academic mission Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology — at one of the nation's leading academic medical institutions. Research & discovery Access a cutting-edge small animal facility with PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and MRI at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Collaborate with federal agencies and industry leaders to drive funded research. Interdisciplinary reach Engage across tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences — in active partnership with a comprehensive cancer center, a transplant center, and a children's hospital.
Requirements
• MD or equivalent with board certification in Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or Nuclear Radiology (ABR/ABNM) • Deep expertise in PET/CT, nuclear cardiology, and theranostics • A strong academic record — peer-reviewed publications, funded research, and a passion for mentorship • A collaborator and builder — someone who can work across disciplines, develop talent, and grow a division's national profile
